Today is my birthday =) And I decided that I am going to document this 23rd year in photos, since lately I have been HORRIBLE about using my camera. Horrible. Very bad. So it will be like the whole 365 project (I know I’m a little behind the trend!) and I’ll post my pictures each week right here.

Anyway, that’s all =) I’m off to celebrate my birthday with some friends I haven’t seen since EXACTLY a year ago today (hi Amanda & Brian!) and my boyfriend in New York (ooh fancy.) Check back next week for the first photos!!

Art Camp

Aside from the shaving cream painting that I did every week with my art campers, I also did several other activities: plaster sculpture, basket weaving, clay, oil pastels, charcoal self-portraits, nature print photograms, theater, and more. It was a very full week and every so often I would remember to take out my camera to document their work, so I thought I would share a few with you here =)

I wish I had taken more! The days were so busy and the kids took their projects home as soon as they could, so a lot of great projects slipped away. I had some very talented campers =) What do you think??

My friend Amy launched her new site today: Lemon & Raspberry!! It’s cute and pretty and she has ALL kinds of plans for it, including DIYs and photography resources. Along with the launch of the site, she has also released her first ebook (one of many to come, I believe):

I’ve already read it, and it’s awesome. It’s full of tips for anyone looking for VERY simple ways to make some huge improvements in their photographs (aka, no expensive, fancy equipment!) She gives some really great advice. And it’s free =)

I know I have mentioned before that I have about a million rolls of film to develop, and I have FINALLY gotten around to it. I’ll be posting them in batches, and here are the first few which I took with this little guy:

I really love how hit-or-miss it is (not pictured are a LOT of misses) and not knowing which pictures are going to end up with which (I was shooting two pictures per frame.) Now that I know what they look like I’m excited to shoot some more and have a better idea of how they’re going to turn out.

OH & I’m going to try and have my one-year giveaway up by Monday, so make sure you check back for that =)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I don’t have any pictures from the weekend to share yet (I have film to get processed and my boyfriend borrowed my digital for the week cause he’s in Las Vegas! and it has all my pictures on it) but soon. Hopefully. My outfit was slightly ridiculous, so get excited =)

So today is very gray (although it’s supposed to get to 60!) and I have a MIDTERM this afternoon and looking at my notecards is literally making me feel sick I’ve been studying so much, so here’s a little photo inspiration to pump up this day.

New Book Photos

One of my assignments for class is to make a reflective teaching journal to record my experiences teaching in a high school. I FINALLY got started on it, and modeled it off the heart book that I made a couple weeks ago.

This is the first page, before I put the covers onnn

And then I put a camera on the cover to make it a little more interesting (the class I’m teaching is Digital Photography.)

It’s RIVETING. Haha.

Omg just a few more days until Spring Break =) I need it. And I’m going to Chicago for the St. Patrick’s Day festivitiesss !!
