This weekend I have been hard at work painting, and have (mostly) enjoyed every minute of it.  Here is a little peek at an in-progress painting I have been working on…

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there reading =)  This is a painting that I made to give to my mom today.  What do you think?  I’m really trying to get more into painting lately, and I hope this summer I will have several more paintings to share.

I took part of the painting from yesterday and made it into a collage.  Lately I’ve been wanting to work with rope and this is my first step towards doing that… we’ll just have to see where that goes.  I’m trying to get all caught up with my June posts… only two more after this!!  [...]
