Omg just a few more days until Spring Break =)  I need it.  And I’m going to Chicago for the St. Patrick’s Day festivitiesss  !!

This is the example I made in front of the class, to demonstrate to them how to do it.  It’s crazy how quick they can be, and I have soo many other ideas of what to make.  I’m not 100% thrilled with this one but I like it and it worked well as a teaching tool.

Remember the millions of things I said I needed to do this weekend?  Yup, working on it.  So many ideas/too little time/too much homework.  For realz.

I can’t remember what the assignment was exactly, I just remember that I wanted to play around and experiment with color and light.  Sooo.. what do you think?

Oh and also, today I made my sample stamp and I had a lot of fun with it.  I think the students will too, as long as they’re careful with those tools… we’ll see.  Anyway I’ll post pictures tomorrow =)  it really made me miss my printmaking class.

It’s finals week, which means I will be writing papers until Friday.  Holiday spirit, anyone?

Oh yeah and to keep you updated, I’m 1-1 in fantasy football right now.  I know, I know, I should have mentioned that sooner… I won’t keep you waiting for my FF stats again.

This is an ongoing series that began in the spring of 2007 with the above photograph.  It was taken for an assignment in my introduction to photography class that was about portraits, self-portraits, and the body.  Later that semester I decided to draw the photograph for my (introductory) drawing class.

In November/December 2008 I made a print of the image in a printmaking course.

And in January 2009 I had a self-portrait assignment in a textiles class, and interpreted the image with fabrics that I dyed.

Of course today I run into this picture:

which just makes me miss my computer and the adobe suite even more (my boyfriend has a PC with no Adobe anything.)  The cupcakes are cute though, right?  Just a LITTLE bit nerdy.

Today I am working on a children’s book I have to make for my astronomy class, (hopefully) cleaning my house, working on my portfolio, actually GOING to class, and probably watching the second Harry Potter movie.  We’re trying to watch all of them before we see the new one in theaters for the midnight showing.  We may or may not be dressed up…

Haha.  Hopefully Amanda’s boyfriend will wear something like this and be Hedwig.  Ridiculous.
