Hey party people, I have so much to update on!  Lately I have been doing TONS of planning for nicoleioma.com (you would be proud, really) and I’m hoping to start some (hopefully) cool/interesting/amazing/wonderful posts in October.  Which is soon, in case you missed the “October is Almost Here” memo, like I did.

Aaaaanyway…. the above photo is from a project I am currently working on for a class which is all about using technology in education.  It’s a very interesting class, a little crazy, and they wanted us to make a “Digital Story” (aka… a movie) about what we envision our future classrooms to look like and how technology is going to be part of that.  I decided to try out the whole stop motion thing… and I am looooving it!  Aside from the fact that I have taken almost 100 photos and I am nowhere near done.

Trust me, I will be more than excited to share when I am done =)

I also did something SO cool last week.  I think so, anyway… my friend Drew does these really cool spray painting landscapes and he taught me how.  I took a ton of photos while we were working on them and a bunch of the finished products and then MY CAMERA WENT MISSING.  I am trying not to panic and just hoping it will turn up, but… I have no idea where it could have gotten to.  But once I find it (and I WILL) I will post those pictures.  (Oh and by landscape, I mean OUTER SPACE-scape.  Yes, I made outer space.)

Well, I guess that’s it… until I find my camera and October rolls around.  I’m pretty excited about my new posts and I hope you are too!  Although I really think I’m being a little over ambitious… we’ll see =)

I really love how hit-or-miss it is (not pictured are a LOT of misses) and not knowing which pictures are going to end up with which (I was shooting two pictures per frame.)  Now that I know what they look like I’m excited to shoot some more and have a better idea of how they’re going to turn out.

Omg just a few more days until Spring Break =)  I need it.  And I’m going to Chicago for the St. Patrick’s Day festivitiesss  !!

Finally, here are my cameras… a brownie, dslr, a film point & shoot (I think my first camera?!), fish eye, canon powershot, fuji instax, a (much) newer version of the canon powershot, and a mini diana.  I realllllly want a twin lens reflex too… what cameras do you have/want?

Two more days left until I’ve posted every day in February… I think maybe I’ll continue?!  =)

I have so many ideas and I keep starting each and then not finishing ANY.  So here is a quick post just to say what you can expect soon =)  Pictures of my camera collection (finally, I know) and hopefully a painting this weekend?!  we’ll see on that one, umm… oh yeah and I am planning on working on my hollowed altered book a little bit.  Hopefully.

I’m also really excited about teaching my students to make stamps tomorrow !!  And maybe I will make an ACEO/ATC… okay I might (definitely) be overestimating myself here, since I have a ton of papers to write, but I’m going to try.  Oh yeah and I need to work on a “reflective journal” for an assignment for class and also, you know, clean my room.

And yes, I know, I am adorable  =)  hahaha.  OKAY time to get to work, I hope you all have the most amazing weekend ever, and if you have tons of snow I am REALLY sorry and just remember that it’s almost March which means it’s almost April which means… it’s basically July.  Right?

Warm weather, I need you.

I can’t remember what the assignment was exactly, I just remember that I wanted to play around and experiment with color and light.  Sooo.. what do you think?

Oh and also, today I made my sample stamp and I had a lot of fun with it.  I think the students will too, as long as they’re careful with those tools… we’ll see.  Anyway I’ll post pictures tomorrow =)  it really made me miss my printmaking class.

So yeah this is what I got:

It’s a Brownie.  According to wikipedia, the first one was made in 1900 and cost only $1, which is crazy.  I paid more than $1 for it  =)  Maybe I’m on my way to having a collection like this?!!

I’ll try and take pictures of the ones I got for Christmas, too (why haven’t I already??)  And, you know, I’ll post some of the actual photos I have taken with them so far.
