I Made a Movie!
Soo I am taking this class (Technology in Education… or something) and we got this assignment to make a movie about what our future classrooms are going to look like, and how we plan to integrate technology in our classrooms. I took this small assignment and decided to turn it into a HUGE project (I think I miss my studio art classes..?!) and tried my hand at stop motion.
I learned a ton and there are several things I would change if I had the time/motivation, but for my first try, I think it’s alright =) And I am totally psyched that I made a movie haha. I want to keep making them now!
I can’t get the video to embed for some reason (?!?!) so here’s a link… check it ouuuuut
What do you think?? =)

The movie was really adorable! I just had a long iChat with one of my best friends who just became an art teacher and heard all sorts of stories. I was sad that it sounds so much more frustrating than it does magically inspiring as we’d all wish it could be to teach art to kids. They threw acrylic paints across her classroom at each other and she had to stay late washing paint off of everything. No one turns in thier assignments or cares about art or even understands how to be creative. It makes me pretty sad!!
LOVE it! So so cute
this is great! lots of good ideas, too, and the stop motion was admirable… stop motion is hard work! nice job!
nicole! this video is so awesome! i am very impressed!!!
miss u.
Megan V: That’s heartbreaking!! I’ve already faced my share of tough art classroom situations so I know how frustrating it can be, I hope things get better for her! I agree that it is a shame that art education isn’t always taken seriously =( But I definitely think that can be changed.
Amy: Thanks so much Amy!
Leiah: Yes, VERY hard work! I bit off more than I could chew and had to cut some corners to get it turned in on time, unfortunately. It’s also addicting though so hopefully I’ll be making improved movies in the future!
Amanda: Thaaaanks =) miss you too!
LOOOOVEEEE it! So cute…must’ve taken hours, but worth it!
Thaaaanks Sarah! Yes, it took forEVER, but I’m excited to know that I can do it now =)
