(Pictura Gallery)

Today I went to this photography gallery for a class (the same class that sent me to the antique store.)  The woman working there talked to us about how the gallery got started, how it works, about the artists, etc etc.  The conversation of course got off topic and onto the current budget cuts in schools and the resulting elimination of art programs.  We started talking about community art programs and even art classes for adults and that really got me thinking about what I want to do with my background in art and art education and my license to teach art.  Other than in a school setting, of course, which is something I cannot wait to do, there are all of these other ways that I can teach art and different types of people who may be looking to learn.  A girl mentioned that one day she wants to open up a nonprofit organization out of her home teaching ceramics, and that really got me thinking about what I can do as well.

Anyway, I don’t know, these are just thoughts I guess.  I left the gallery feeling SO excited and inspired but I know that anything I may do is far in the future.  What do you guys think??  I’m thinking about after school art programs, probably for adults, and summer programs also.  I would have absolutley no idea where to start, but… I think I will figure it out =)
